Analisis Problematika Pendidikan Tinggi di Indonesia

Until now, higher education in Indonesia still has many problems surrounding it. This research analyzes the issues of higher education in Indonesia. The data analysis technique uses content analysis by sorting things according to the focus and objectives of the research. This research found the following things. First, the problems of higher education in Indonesia in terms of curriculum development for lecturers include: lecturers do not understand the essence of the curriculum, do not prepare learning tools, are not quick enough to formulate learning outcomes, learning strategies, and methods are unclear, and evaluation of learning is limited to grades. Second, the problems of higher education in Indonesia in general include: lecturers not following the dynamics of scientific development, the quality assurance system not functioning well, learning materials often not structured according to a standardized taxonomy of thinking, weak listening skills for students, and lecturers seem to will be the only source of knowledge that holds the control center for achieving learning outcomes. Third, the problems of higher education, especially Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia, include several things, including irrelevant curriculum, limited infrastructure and resources, inequality in access and quality of education, the quality of teaching and research needs to be improved, and low relevance to community needs. Therefore, steps to improve all of these things require cooperation between the government, educational institutions, industry, and society.
