Abstract

Awareness of the importance of hand hygiene is one of the health protocols that is applied globally, but awareness of the importance of washing hands as a daily habit is still low among some people, including in the school environment. Hand washing paper soap making training at MTs Baabussalam Pringsewu is a Community Service that aims to provide students with knowledge about hygiene, teach useful practical skills, provide skills that can be added value for students both in the context of education and daily life, encourage students to innovate and be creative in creating different paper soap products, and increase student interest in science and technology, and encourage students to think creatively. The paper soap making training at MTs Babussalam Pringsewu was attended by 28 students from grades VII and VIII who were enthusiastic in participating in each session. The evaluation results showed that students' basic knowledge about paper soap making materials increased, students were motivated to make paper soap, and increased awareness of the importance of washing hands with soap and maintaining health.
